SGM Thompson Research Laboratory, USC
La Jolla, California
Architect: Killefer Flammang Architects
8,000 square foot remodel of a chemistry research laboratory at the Seeley G. Mudd building. 19 fume hoods occupy the main lab space, which required complex zoning and airflow control. A new air handling unit and high-plume exhaust fan serve the space and are flexible to the changing airflow requirements caused by the opening and closing of the fume hoods.
